Do you like getting access to the best paying, high-quality freelance and full-time journalism jobs and calls-for pitches each week? This is now paywalled, so you’ll need to become a paying subscriber to see the more than 50 new jobs and calls-for-pitches, which are updated every weekday, through Friday.
Pay $5 a month to get access to all the weekly posts.
The new post will come out each week on Wednesday on Pacific Time. The weekly post is updated through Friday before a new post is built over the weekend. Come back frequently to see the latest updates! If you want a glimpse of some of the past listings, you can check out this, this, this and this.
This week’s listings include new, high-profile full-time jobs and freelance gigs from The Wall Street Journal, AAA, tons from Yahoo! and Forbes, Axios, Men’s Journal, NPR, The Today Show, Discovery, Spotify, Stocktwits, MasterClass, The Skimm, Audible, Starbucks, Blue Bottle, Consumer Reports, Dropbox, and many more! Some of these gigs pay a whopping $350,000 or more for full-time work and titles include everything from automotive, beauty, travel and copy writers and editors, to Senior Director-(and higher-) level jobs, and more!
I find these jobs and freelance calls-for-pitches through a variety of outlets (and platforms) both through my own research but also through this curated list of my favorite writers, editors and freelancers on Twitter (which you can follow). I’m currently working on finding everyone I follow on Twitter, on Threads, since Twitter has a rapidly declining user base. You can follow me on Threads, here. I’m also on BlueSky, as well.

She has been a freelance journalist since 2014, and has successfully weathered the ups and downs of the media world and journalism. She has bylines with everyone from Car & Driver and Motor Trend, to Elle Magazine, Travel & Leisure, National Geographic, Fortune, Fast Company and more!
In addition to her freelance career, Abigail spent ten years as a senior producer at CNN in New York, a when she began her successful freelance journalism career ten years ago. The content below has been curated by Abigail. She subscribes to a number of pay-for-access job sites and newsletters, and she digs up these gigs on everything from Twitter and LinkedIn to FlexJobs, Glassdoor, and Indeed because she believes in two tenets:
- Experienced freelance journalists should be paid a fair wage for their work.
- Freelancers need to stick together and help each other out. This is her way of doing just that.
The first portion of the job description has been copied and pasted into the post and the direct application link is included.
More of Abigail’s journalism work including her bylines with Elle Magazine, National Geographic, Travel & Leisure, TechCrunch, Fortune, Forbes, Maxim, Car & Driver and more, at her portfolio site at abigailbassett.com.
Follow her on Threads, Bluesky, Instagram or Twitter, to find out more about her current assignments. And yes, she does apply for a lot of these jobs (in case you’re wondering). But mostly, she just wants to make the world a little bit better for journalists trying to make a living in the age of AI. She is available for commissions, so reach out!
